Top Reasons why Physicians switch jobs

Evan if salaries are high, Physician still switch jobs not too uncommonly, and yeah - the biggest reason is not higher salary. (or at least not on the survey)

The AMGA 2006 Physician Retention Survey brought out some figures why physicians leave jobs. Here's the Synopsis:

Poor Cultural fit                                          51%

To be closer to own or spouse's family            42%

Left job for higher income opportunity             32%

Due to Spouse's job relocation                       22%

Relocated to find a better community fit          20%

Excessive Call/ Incompatible work schedule      17%
